For the Lord is Good
For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
Psalm 100:5
Sometimes life feels overwhelming, and it’s easy to focus on what’s missing or what’s hard. Psalm 100:5 reminds us to pause and remember a simple truth: the Lord is good.
God’s goodness is not just about what He gives—it’s about who He is. That means today, right now, He is still caring for you, guiding you, and staying faithful even when you cannot see the full picture.
Let us consider…
His goodness never runs out.
His love never ends.
His faithfulness spans every generation.
He is good, even when life is hard.
He is always good, faithful and kind.
Take a moment today to thank God for His goodness. Notice the small ways He shows His love: a kind word, a safe place, the sunrise, a moment of peace.
Perhaps we should write it down. Perhaps we should record it in our journals. Perhaps we should list ten ways we witnessed the Lord’s goodness today.
When we focus on His goodness, our hearts are filled with hope, gratitude, and joy.

Only God is Great!
King Louis XIV called himself “Louis the Great.” He ruled France for more than seventy years and was one of the most powerful and admired monarchs in European history.
His court was known as the most magnificent in all of Europe, and even in death he sought to display his greatness. When he died in 1715, his funeral was carefully planned to reflect his power and splendor. His body was placed in a golden coffin, a final symbol of earthly glory.
The funeral was held at Notre-Dame Cathedral and attended by nobles, clergy, and dignitaries. At the king’s request, the cathedral was dimly lit, with only a single candle burning above the coffin. The atmosphere was solemn and expectant.
As thousands sat in silence, Bishop Jean-Baptiste Massillon rose to deliver the eulogy. Many expected words of praise—an eloquent recounting of the king’s achievements and greatness.
Instead, Massillon slowly reached forward and extinguished the candle. Then he spoke just a few words:
“Dieu seul est grand.”
“Only God is great.”
With that simple and powerful declaration, the bishop gently reminded everyone present that no matter how great a person may seem in this life, all stand humbly before God Almighty. Earthly glory fades, but God alone is truly and eternally great.

The Lord is Good at Winter Retreat
Every year CrossPoint students take a 3 night retreat to Laguna Beach Christian Retreat. I’ll never forget the first time I walked into the worship room in 2021 with CrossPoint students. I realized that it was the same room that God called me into ministry in back in 2006. Talk about a moment where I realized the goodness of God bringing my life full circle back to a place that meant so much to me when I was a student myself.
Now, here we are in 2026. We are bringing 147 people to Laguna Beach , FL to learn how to HIDE in the Lord and SEEK His face daily. I am so confident that the Lord will reveal His goodness to us in so many ways while we are away.
God has used this retreat to lead students to salvation, call students and college leader into ministry, and so much more.
Please pray with us that the Lord will bring transformation to the lives of those attending Winter Retreat this year. Pray also for safe travels. We know that the Lord is going before us in all of this! We cherish your prayers and look forward to sharing God’s goodness with you when we return!

Surely Goodness and Mercy
We are recording 1000 entries where we have seen, experienced or recognized the Lord’s goodness in our life this year.
Try this simple exercise for today’s journal entry.
Psalm 23:5 says, “Surely GOODNESS and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
In what ways does this promise relate to your current circumstances? Take a moment to record those thoughts in your journal.

A Silent Voice, A Powerful Testimony

How to Know You Know God
1. Do you KNOW that God is to be honored as the Creator of the
universe?
20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
10 as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; 11 no one understands; no one seeks for God. 12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”
Romans 3:10-12
3. Do you KNOW that you are a sinner in need of divine forgiveness?
For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23
4. Do you KNOW that God sent His Son Jesus Christ to show us His great love for all of humanity?
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
5. Do you KNOW that salvation is a free gift from God through Jesus Christ?
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23
6. Do you KNOW that to be saved you must confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead?
9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:9-13
7. Do you KNOW that those who are saved by God through Jesus Christ are called to live a life dedicated to God through Jesus Christ?
1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:1-2
