Chad Rich

Chad grew up in Trussville, Alabama, and is a 2009 graduate of Hewitt-Trussville High School. He went on to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he participated in Army ROTC and earned his bachelor’s degree in 2013. Chad and his wife, Lindsey, were married in 2012 while he was completing his studies at UAB. On the same day he graduated from UAB, Chad was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army.

After his graduation and commissioning in 2013, they moved to their first Army duty station, where Chad began his active-duty service. He subsequently deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 2014-2015. Chad served on active duty until 2020 and continued his service in the Army Reserve from 2020 to 2023. After returning home from active-duty service, Chad became a partner in a small business in the Birmingham area, where he worked until joining the staff of CrossPoint in September 2025 as the Minister of Missions and Spiritual Development.

Chad is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Beeson Divinity School and anticipates graduating in December 2026. Chad and Lindsey have five children—Ellie, Emilia Jo, Alexander, Jeremiah, and Aidan. They are strong advocates for foster care and adoption, and two of their sons were adopted through the foster care system in Texas. Lindsey, a 2011 graduate of UAB’s School of Nursing, worked as a registered nurse until the birth of their first child in 2015 and now homeschools their children. Chad enjoys spending time outdoors, as well as playing tennis, golf, and pickleball, and especially loves time spent with his family
