Bus Driver Appreciation Luncheon – “For the Lord Is Good”
On Friday, March 20th, Crosspoint hosted a Bus Driver Appreciation Luncheon as part of Serve Tour Birmingham 2026. It was a joy to welcome bus drivers and school administrators from three Clay-Chalkville elementary schools and to spend time serving those who faithfully serve our community every day.
Our Crosspoint and Serve Tour volunteers had the opportunity to share a meal, enjoy fellowship, and express our gratitude in tangible ways. One of our students, Lexi Day, blessed everyone by singing during the lunch, adding a special moment of encouragement to the day.
Each guest received a gift bag, and one of the most meaningful parts of the event was when our volunteers took time to pray personally over each table. It was a powerful reminder that beyond appreciation, we desire to care for and support these men and women spiritually.
During the program, a message from Mark 10:45 was shared, highlighting that Jesus is not only our example of service, but that He came “to give His life as a ransom for many.” We were reminded that Jesus is not just a servant to admire—He is a Savior to receive. The gospel was clearly proclaimed, and all in attendance were invited to join us for our Easter services.
We are grateful for how the Lord worked during this event. The gospel went forth, seeds were planted, and meaningful conversations took place. One gentleman shared that he wanted to continue reading through the Gospel of Mark and expressed a desire to visit Crosspoint on a Sunday.
Truly, the Lord is good!

Just 1 More on Easter Sunday
In less than two weeks, the Church will joyfully celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday. This is the single most important celebration of the year. It is more important than RENEW, It’s Your Move, and Mother’s Day combined. It is even more important than Christmas. Why is celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ so important?
Simply put, without the resurrection of Jesus, we have no Savior. Without a Savior, we have no rescue from our sin. Without rescue, we have no escape from our separation from God. With no escape, we have no hope. Without the resurrection of Jesus, we have no church and no church family. We are inescapably doomed to spiritual darkness and eternal death.
However, through the resurrection of Jesus, everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved from their sin and separation from God (Romans 10:13). Through the resurrection of Jesus, those who are saved are given the Holy Spirit to comfort, guide, and lead us in growing in our relationship with God (John 16:13, Acts 2:38, Romans 5:4-5, Romans 8:9-16). Through the resurrection of Jesus, we can all God “Father” and each other “brother” or “sister” (1 Corinthians 12:13, Galatians 4:6). Through the resurrection of Jesus, all of creation will be restored (Romans 8:18-30). Through the resurrection of Jesus, those who are saved are given the freedom to truly love and obey God and love others (2 Corinthians 3:17).
The resurrection of Jesus and the results of the resurrection are the most amazing good news ever known to humankind! This is well worth celebrating! The resurrection impacts who we are and how we live everyday, plus it impacts our future with God.
The good news of the resurrection is the most significant and most joyful news you could ever share with another person! In your circle of influence and relationships, who needs to hear this good news? Give them an Easter invitation card. Invite them to be your guest for worship at CrossPoint on Easter Sunday. Give them the opportunity to be impacted by the resurrection of Jesus Christ!

Pray for Puerto Rico

you? For you are our glory and joy.” 1 Thessalonians 2:19–20
On Wednesday nights in the Student Ministry, we have been taking our middle and high schoolers verse-by-verse through the book of 1 Thessalonians. They have seen the strong love Paul had for this church. He loved them like a nursing mother, exhorting father, and dear brother. Paul loved Jesus with his whole being, and this love resulted in a strong love for the church that was like loving family.
Pray that they would grow in conviction to make Jesus known in the nations. We are going not only to encourage our partner church, but to help reach the poor and powerless in Puerto Rico. They have been affected greatly by natural disasters. Pray that as we minister to their material needs, we can reach them with the gospel of Christ Jesus. Pray that through this short trip, just one more hears the good news that Jesus died to save sinners.

Pray for Guatemala

This week, we are GOING.
This Friday, a team of 20 will be heading to Guatemala to serve alongside our trusted ministry partners from Mission Vida Nueva and Living to Serve. We love these partners deeply and are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve with them again. Many of you had the chance to meet Rudy from Living to Serve during this year’s Missions Expo. We are excited to reconnect with him, as well as with Jenna and Geoffrey Haynes, as we minister to the people of Guatemala and share the hope of the gospel.
We would love for you to partner with us in prayer during this trip from March 20th to the 28th. Below are some specific ways that you can be praying:
– Pray that the gospel would be clearly communicated to those who hear it.
– Pray that people would surrender their lives to Jesus as they hear the truth.
– Pray that the Lord would overcome language barriers and bring clarity and connection.
– Pray that the Holy Spirit would go before our team and prepare hearts to receive the message.
– Pray that the Lord would guard our team from discouragement and division.
– Pray that our students and leaders would serve with humility as the hands and feet of Jesus.
– Pray that the local churches and ministries we partner with would be encouraged and strengthened.
– Pray that our leaders would be sensitive to the Lord’s guidance in every moment.
– Pray for safe travel and continued health throughout the trip.
– Pray that families at home would experience peace and confidence in the Lord while we are away.
– Pray that seeds of eternal hope would be planted and that there would be lasting kingdom impact.

Inviting J1M as a Family
More is caught than taught. As parents, we are setting the example for our children every single day by the way we live out our faith. Let’s lead the way in our homes by intentionally inviting our J1M to join us for Easter Sunday.
Take time to pray together as a family for your J1M. Talk about why sharing the hope of Jesus matters. Set the pace with boldness and love, and let your children see you stepping out in faith. As we model obedience and compassion, we are teaching them what it looks like to live on mission.
Let’s pray, invite, and joyfully share the Good News together.

Ladies Weekend 2026
Last Weekend, we had the joy of gathering together as women from every stage and season of life to worship, connect, and encourage one another. It was a sweet and refreshing time—one that reminded us just how good God is.
Throughout the weekend, we saw God’s goodness on display in so many ways. We experienced it in the laughter shared over meals, in the meaningful conversations that strengthened friendships old and new, and in the powerful moments of worship where our hearts were united in praise. We were especially blessed through the teaching of our speaker, Lisa Allen, whose words challenged and encouraged us to examine what truly drives our lives.
We were reminded that a life of faith is not about performance or comparison, but about wholehearted devotion—being more consumed with pleasing our Creator than pleasing the world around us. It was a call to deeper surrender, greater trust, and renewed courage to walk faithfully wherever God has placed us.
We left seeing the goodness of God at work in the women of CrossPoint and in our community. The Lord is good to have given us this time together.

Praise is a Choice
One of the most important commitments you can make in your life is to choose to praise God every day — forever and always, with your whole heart.
But we all know there are times when praise doesn’t come naturally. In those moments, praising takes effort. And that’s exactly when you can’t wait to feel like praising. Instead, you must praise your way into feeling.
Here’s why this matters so much: praise touches the very heart of our struggles.
Either I take center stage in my life, or the Lord does.
Either I seek the spotlight, or I let God shine.
Either I sit on the throne, or I give the throne to God.
Either I lift myself up, or I lift up the Lord.
We cannot serve both ourselves and God fully—one must come first. Praise is a choice that helps us make that choice daily.
When you praise God, something beautiful and supernatural happens. When you praise the Lord, life begins to shift in ways we cannot explain fully.
When I praise God, I have seen how:
So, why not start today? Praise the Lord for His goodness by writing this sentence in your journal again and again:
“Lord, today I saw Your goodness when…”
Let your heart focus on His love and faithfulness, even in the smallest moments. Praise is not just a feeling—it’s a powerful
choice that opens the door to peace and hope.
